Ayesha Salma leads Ipas’s work in Pakistan. She has nearly two decades of experience in international development and humanitarian programming in Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and the UK. Before joining Ipas, she held a senior management role at Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) and also served as a Country Director for CARE International in Pakistan. Ms. Salma has worked in regional management positions in CARE’s Middle East & North Africa and Asia Regional Management Units. Prior to that, she worked at CARE International in UK. She is also a published author in women’s rights issues. She is passionate about gender and reproductive health justice.

Rubab Zahra

National Program Manager

Rubab Zahra has an over 12 years of experience and developed core expertise in designing and implementing programs related to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), policy development for women health rights, Life Skills Based Education (LSBE/ CSE).

Before Joining Ipas, she worked on various leadership positions within the country, and she also served for East Africa Region as a secretariat member of the NEXUS Consortium Somalia for improving access of Somali women to health services and to income generation opportunities.

She also Worked with Center for Global Public Health (CGPH) NIH, Islamabad Pakistan and carried out numerous research studies related to sexually transmitted infections (STI’s), and reproductive health issues. Throughout her career she performed donor coordination, partnership building, and coordination with relevant stakeholders. She has an extensive network with government welfare departments, organization’s working on global health initiatives and gender equity.

Hussain Hassan Ali

Country Finance and Admin Manager

Hussain Hassan Ali is working as Country Finance and Admin Manager in Ipas Since Aug 01, 2019, in Islamabad office. He worked with Ipas from May 2011 to Dec 2018 in Karachi office having a broad experience that spans financial management, corporate governance and compliance. Hussain holds a master’s degree in Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA), Master of Art (Economic) and Master of Commerce, was actively involved in the development sectors and had more than 25 years of experience in the field of Education, Health, Environment and SRHR work.

Amna Arshad

Research, Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor

Joining date: 17th Sep 2018
Amna leads the Research Monitoring and Evaluation Unit at Ipas Pakistan since 2018. She has a master’s degree in Public Health from the Health Services Academy Islamabad. She has more than 6 years of experience as a public health specialist. As a researcher, she has completed several research studies and has a few international publications. Data analysis and report writing are her key expertise. She is looking forward to exploring more through research studies specifically on climate change and reproductive health justice. 

Mukhtiar Khan

HR Advisor

joined Ipas in 2019 as Divisional Operational Associate. In this role, I have provided support for trainings, filed work, record keeping etc. In 2022 I became HR associate, after joining HR team, I have carried out HR function like job advertisements, recruiting, issuance of agreements and rest of the HR functions.

Prior to joining the Ipas, served Telenor Pakistan for 8 years and last designation over there was network operations specialist. 

Asim Nazeer

Project Advisor

 Joined Ipas on March 07, 2022
Asim is the PMAC project lead. He joined Ipas in 2022. Previously he has worked with several prestigious organizations in Pakistan and outside. He was involved with various donor funded Health (RH/FP and PAC), IMNCH, WASH, Humanitarian, and HIV/AIDS prevention and care programs where he learnt various aspects of program planning, management and monitoring, and accountability at all levels. Asim has master’s degrees in Public Health and Economics along with NVQ in social care.

Asim was engaged with development of community mobilization strategies, advocacy campaigns, and development of communication programs and training materials. Asim has designed and implemented a comprehensive training program for LHWs in Punjab and provided training to provincial MNCH leadership in Sindh, Punjab and KPK provinces.  

Abdur Rauf Khan

Community Engagement Advisor

Abdur Rauf Khan has more than 10 years of experience in reproductive health research, monitoring and evaluation and project implementation. Abdur Rauf Khan is associated with Ipas since July 2018 and currently leading the community Engagement department for increasing awareness and correct information in the communities to reduce stigma around Postabortion Care.

Zarnab Munir

Health Systems Advisor

Ms. Zarnab joined Ipas in April 2020 as a Health Systems Advisor. She is a performance-focused visionary Public Health Specialist credited with 5 years of professional experience and has worked in supporting mental health, reducing gender-based violence and mitigating health emergencies along with practicing as a physiotherapist.  She previously worked in National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Pakistan as Research Officer and has handled operational medical matters in emergency and has remained part of National health clusters.

Ms Zarnab holds a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy and Master’s degree in Public Health from UK. She is also a certified ISO 9001:2015 auditor and a technical expert for quality management of Hospitals.

Mehrin Shah

Policy and Communications Advisor

Mehrin leads the Policy and Communications efforts at Ipas Pakistan since 2020. She has a master’s degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics & Political Science. Mehrin is interested in public policy & public-private partnerships, especially in areas of poverty eradication, gender equality, and education. She occasionally co-authors blogs on various developmental issues for the London School of Economics.

Mukhtar Ahmed

Backed by 24 years of National level working experience, including 17 years of working in the development sector (+4 years with Ipas Pakistan), I am well-versed in PM methodologies. I always keep information flow seamlessly and work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and contributing towards overall achievements with timely decisions. Due to my successful methodologies, I remained able to win stakeholders’ respect. Remained an active team player, initiator, key player and successfully piloted and carried along interventions, including Telehealth services for postabortion care and reported multiple policy outcomes.

Incorporating time management principles into the workflow, I would continue my efforts to the program development with a focus on achieving organizational objective.

Mahnoor Babar

Mahnoor joined Ipas in Dec 2019 as Divisional Project Officer-KP. Currently, she is leading the KP division as Project Advisor. 

She along with the team is working hard to save SRHR of women and to have an unsafe abortion free country.

Shahida Perveen works as Community Engagement Associate at Ipas Pakistan since 2019. She has over 08 years working experience in the not-for-profit development sector. Shahida has a master’s degree in Economics from Quaid-e Azam University Islamabad Pakistan. Shahida is interested in women empowerment and grass root level activism

HR Officer

Aimon joined Ipas in May 2022 as an Office Secretary and promoted to a new role as HR Officer in 2023. She has more than 7 years of public/private sector experience working in HR MIS for 4 years, Supply Chain, Coordination, and Administrative roles. Prior to joining Ipas, Ms. Aimon worked with downstream energy sector organization as coordinator to the COO and Legal Advisor of External Affairs. Ms. Aimon has a Master’s degree in CS (IT).
